You can simplify the form of a defined fraction of a percent, so it can be written:

50% mean 50/100 = ½ , so 50% mean

40% mean 40/100 = 2/5, so 40% mean

25% mean 25/100 = ¼ , so 25% mean

Indicate the fractions to percentages:

find fractions equivalent to  the denominator 100 :

½ = …/100

½ = 1 x 50/ 2 x 50

½ worth 50/100  = 50%

Permil :

20‰ = 20/1000 = 2/100 = 1/50

convert fractions to form permil

½ = ½  x 1000‰ = 500‰

¼ = ¼  x 1000‰ = 250‰
