Lesson study is a scheme of cooperation among teachers(one field of study) in an effort to improve its ability in each learning activity by systematic examining and reflecting. Purpose of lesson study is to improve teacher learning service need of student.
Lesson study steps :
1. Teacher cooperate to prepare lesson plans
2. Teacher implement teaching and learning process in real class and while other observe
3. The teachers doing discussion
4. Other teacher implement teaching and learning in real class and while other observe
Innovation through lesson study can accomplished if :
1. Teacher are open and commited
2. Developed supporting infrasystem
3. Is the movement of all component
4. Obtein the support of policy maker
5. Is a medium and long term innovation.
Kinds of Lesson study (judging from its scope)
1. Individual inter scale tacher
2. Inter scale school
3. Inter scale institution
4. National scale
5. International scale
Lesson study implementation include activities PLAN ( Profram coordinating meeting, program implementation meeting, discussion to prepare, lesson plan, worksheets, viewer tools, teacher or school models), DO ( the implementation of teaching by teacher model and activities observation by oether teacher in class), SEE (Activities reflection)
Lesson study requires some supporters, among other : the nature of motivation, the nature of apperseption, the nature of discussion, the nature of group discussion, the nature of student participation, the nature of student contruction, and the nature of aim of education. And the socialization of study lesson :
1. Publication
2. Involvement of stake holders
3. Lesson study open house
4. MGMP
5. Comitment of school or department
6. Cooperation with the University
